This annual work plan outlines the Sacramento County Department of Transportation’s Title VI accomplishments and establishes goals for the upcoming fiscal year.

Accomplishments

  • Implemented mandatory Title VI training for all SacDOT employees
    • Established biennial training requirement and process for tracking employee completion.
  • Posted Title VI Public Notices in six languages at SacDOT customer service counters.
    • Notices provided in English, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Hmong, and Chinese to improve access to information for diverse communities.
  • Updated the SacDOT Title VI webpage with current Title VI coordinator contact information.
  • Incorporated Environmental Justice considerations into transportation project planning and development

Goals for FY 2027

  • Continue to ensure language translation and interpretation services are available to individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP).
  • Improve Title VI data collection and analysis throughout SacDOT programs and activities.
  • Develop “I Speak” cards available at SacDOT public counters to improve access to language assistance services.
  • Monitor and review Title VI compliance across SacDOT’s primary program areas.
