Sacramento County Transportation Development Fee (SCTDF), and Transit Impact Fee (TIF)
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to the “Annual Adjustment” required by Section 16.87.140 of the Sacramento County Code (SCC), the SCTDF/TIF will be adjusted in accordance with the Caltrans Highway Construction Cost Index, based on a rolling average of the index over the previous three years. The SCC requires this annual fee adjustment be made on March 31st, or shortly thereafter.
This 2026 SCTDF/TIF annual adjustment results in a fee increase of 13.26% effective on April 13, 2026, with further adjustments to Board approved Special Finance Districts, as noted below.
There are six separate Board approved Finance Districts (Antelope, Florin Vineyard, Mather, Metro Air Park, North Vineyard Station, Vineyard) that have certain overlapping roadway improvement mitigations with the SCTDF. These overlapping roadway project costs have been credited towards the Finance District SCTDF fees to assure that no double charging for roadway impacts occur.
The 2026 SCTDF fee tables effective on April 13, 2026 are available upon request, and are also posted on the SacDOT website.
