South Watt Avenue Road Closure Information
Fruitridge Road Closure
The first closure will be at the intersection of Fruitridge Road and South Watt Avenue. The intersection will shut down for two (2) consecutive nights starting on Tuesday, July 28, starting at 7 p.m. It will reopen the Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. The closure will resume at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night, and reopen Thursday morning at 6 a.m.
Traffic will be directed to use alternate routes during the closure period. Access will be maintained to those businesses located on the corners of the intersection through existing driveways during the closures; however, the intersection will be closed to all traffic.
Detour:
Traffic normally traveling on South Watt Avenue between Jackson Road or Elder Creek Road can either take Hedge Avenue or Florin Perkins Road to bypass the closure. We appreciate your patience as we work to complete this important project.
Elder Creek Closure
The second closure will be at the intersection of Elder Creek Road and South Watt Avenue. It will also last two (2) consecutive nights, starting on Thursday, July 30, starting at 7 p.m. The intersection will reopen at 6 a.m., and the closure will resume at 7 p.m. Friday night.
Traffic will be directed to use alternate routes during the closure period. Access will be maintained to those businesses located on the corners of the intersection through existing driveways during the closures; however, the intersection will be closed to all traffic.
